Dear Lincoln,

On your four month birthday you attended Christian's first Junior Jazz game in the morning (the first of many you will watch and play in your lifetime, I'm sure) and then a Froerer family Christmas party in the evening.  This was also a milestone day for you because for some reason you decided it was finally okay to be alive.  You just seemed to mellow out a little and would sit in the bouncer for a bit and be happy or be content without me holding you.  What a relief!  You also switched to a new binky, our favorite Nuks, and that seems to have helped your temperment too!  You can keep them in your mouth better and like to play with the handle as well.  This is good.  You are still spitting up like crazy (poor thing, you are always SOAKED!) and still not sleeping through the night, but I'm sure it will come.

My sweet Lincoln, I love, love, love you!  I have not had the time or the energy to write about you like I wish, but know that you are so very loved, by me, Daddy, and all your brothers.  You have come to a very loud house, with three big brothers that don't really know the meaning of quiet, but you seem to adore them just as they adore you. You are such a sweet baby, with the cutest smile and the most perfect almond eyes, that smile just as wide as your mouth.  And I think they're gonna be blue!  You have taken everything out of me, as you have been a bit of a demanding baby, not real content and my fussiest baby, but it's not that big of a deal, like it would have been with my first or second.  I know it will pass and so will your baby-ness, far too quickly!  So I kiss you and smother you as much as I can, and sneak away to the rocking chair with you whenever I find a moment.  I don't mind all the extra time I get to hold you!

Oh how I love you!

Love, Mommy

Christian, the Russian

Jake was able to volunteer at Christian's school and give a presentation on Christmas in Russia to the whole first grade.  He loved doing it!  He is so good at it too!  And it reminded him to pull out his Russian outfits he brought home from his mission.  Christian has almost outgrown it!  But I think he looks so cute!  He even got to wear it for the presentation, which I'm pretty sure made him feel quite special!  Jake also brought home a little girl outfit, which unfortunately we don't have a use for yet, but lucky for us the Salmon family is full of girls.  We planned to dress Anya and Christian in these this Christmas, but I suppose it will have to wait til next summer.  We miss you, Salmons!  And tell Anya not to do too much growing before you get here in the summer.

Davidson Photo Shoot

I had fun taking some family pictures for Joe and Sally while they were here.  And I love how they turned out!  Maybe I should keep practicing and make this a hobby! :)  Thanks for letting me practice on you guys!

Love those braids!

Thanksgiving Weekend

The Davidson Family was in town from Texas and it was so fun to have them around for the festivities!  It only made us wish they LIVED here. :)  Thanksgiving dinner was hosted by the Kerrs, and was absolutely fabulous in every way!  Jake has a new found love for mashed potatoes, thanks to their delicious potatoes they whipped up!  Most of these snapshots are compliments of Joe, who had apparently stolen my camera. :)

We also gathered at Grandma and Grandpa's house on Saturday for our annual gingerbread house decorating to kick off the Christmas season.  It was so fun to have the Davidsons in town for this!  (Gurrs, we missed you all weekend!!  But realize you had a pretty good reason for staying home. :)
